The greenteQ Clearslide Inline Sliding Patio Door Lock is part of the greenteQ Lifestyle hardware range. Lifestyle is VBH’s umbrella term for aspirational large element products such as sliding patio doors. Both the Clearslide locks abd striker plates are manufactured from hard wearing stainless steel. Locking is achieved through 4 pairs of bi-directional hooks. The 4 top hooks slide upwards to lock and the lower hooks lock downwards. The hooks in each pair are closely positioned to form extremely strong locking points. Further security is provided by 2 anti-lift pins that protrude from the faceplate and slide into holes in the striker plate when the door is closed. Clearslide locks have been tested at BSI to PAS24 and are included in VBH’s BSI Hardware’ Kitemark (KM727991); a true mark of quality. Clearslide striker plates are profile related and are of a one-piece construction, ensuring quick fabrication. The mis-operation device ensures that the hooks can only travel when the door is fully closed. This prevents any damage caused by trying to close the door if the hooks have been inadvertently put into the locked position while the door is open. The gearbox has standard 92mm centres and is operated by standard patio handles such as the greenteQ Alpha and stainless steel Coastline Patio Pull Handles. The operating lever on each of these handles is sufficiently long to provide enough leverage to operate the door easily, even with the 8 separate hook locking points.
